We recently ran a series of webinars, which we will be continuing over the coming months, and one of the questions we asked all attendees was what their biggest concern is relating to job searches.

After receiving over 150 replies, the concerns could be categorised into the following areas –

We thought this would be a useful graphic to share, for several reasons –

1. You are not alone! The things that you worry about, or are concerned about, are fears that are being experienced by other job seekers too. Our attendees felt reassured by this
2. These areas can be overcome. They are mainly able to be resolved by tailoring your approach, refininng your search, or havnig a strategy

We held a focused discussion around some of these areas, and overall, it was agreed that age is not a barrier to job searching or employability. A session around highlighting transferable skills showed how stregnths could be idenfitied and tailored to future applications regardless of your age or circumstances.
